ACSA’s social support service is designed for the elders of the Afghan community of NSW who are feeling isolated and are unable to maintain regular contact with family or friends.

We aim to provide a platform for social interaction and activities that may not be readily available to them.

We find it vital for the health (both physical and psychological) of community members to feel supported and minimise any potential feeling of loneliness and isolation.

What types of services are available?

Our Social Support and Activities include, but not limited, to the following services:

  • Friday Prayers at our Mosque every Friday. ACSA transport is available to pick up and drop you off back to place of residence.
  • Community picnic and exhibition days.
  • Honouring the elderly members through dedicated the community events.
  • Honouring and celebrating the sacrifices and achievement of mothers every year
  • And much more.
